Shirley Ann Boaz, 90, of Benton passed away Tuesday morning, June 27, 2023 at her home.
She was born in Benton, IL on September 4, 1932 the daughter of Durward & Izola (Green) Thomas.
She married Aaron Boaz on December 31, 1955 in Crown Point, Indiana and he preceded her in death on March 25, 2001.
Mrs. Boaz was of the Christian faith.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother. She loved music, crossword puzzles, word searches, crocheting & cross stitching.
Mrs. Boaz is survived by her:
Daughter: Julie Martin & husband Ross of West Frankfort
Grandson: Aaron Shockley of Benton
4 Great-Grandchildren:Matthew, Emma, Maston & Alaina
Mrs. Boaz was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and an Aunt Rosie Montano.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 6th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Pastor Paul Keller officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the family.
