Robert Glen Wilson, 76, of West City passed away Saturday morning August 24, 2024 at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.
He was born in Christopher, IL on April 18, 1948 the son of Glen & Frances (Hargrove) Wilson.
On July 22, 1978 he married Phyllis (Absher) and she survives.
Mr. Wilson was a 1966 Graduate of Benton High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1972 during the Vietnam Era and was stationed in Germany. Mr. Wilson was a retired Coal Miner working at Freeman #3, for Old Ben Coal Company and lastly at Crown #3 in Girard. He enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and coached for several years. Mr. Wilson was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He was also an excellent baseball player in his younger years. He enjoyed antiquing, hunting, fishing and going to the Casino. He was always working with his hands, finishing furniture and making knives. He was a unique person with a huge heart who lived life to the fullest.

1 Brother: Thomas Wilson & wife Holly
2 Nieces: Amy & Nikki
4 Nephews: Sean, Brock, Chris & Matt
He was preceded in death by his Parents.
