Richard Lee Chinn 69, of Benton went to be with the Lord at 10:28 p.m. on April 4th, 2020. He passed away after an extended battle with Cancer at home surrounded by members of his loving family.
He was born to David Chinn and Phillis Ann Howard in Stanton Missouri on November 16th of 1950. He was a man of many talents. He was the supervisor of several businesses, throughout his life as well as being a semi driver and heavy equipment operator. Richard loved to Golf, Fish and take Camping trips with his family. Richard was a loving father and grandfather. His children were the pride of his life and his grandchildren were the joy. Richard never met a stranger and will be missed by many family and friends.
Richard is survived by his mother Phyllis A.(Sinks) Howard of Cathedral City, California. His wife of 36 years Virginia Lee(Reed) Chinn of Benton IL. Also surviving 7children, Daughters: Patricia S. Franks of Memphis Tn., Leighann E.Tindle and husband Erik of Benton IL., Lisa M.Arview and husband Patrick of Herrin IL., Bailey M.Chinn of Benton, IL.and Katie E. Chinn also of Benton. Sons:Richard Chinn II and wife Leslie of Lake Havasu City, Az., Ryan Chinn and wife Ashli of Sesser, IL .Fourteen grandchildren:Tiffany Crisman and Tyler Crisman of Memphis TN.,Carter Tindle, James Tindle, Logan Tindle, Layne Tindle,Charles Tindle, JacksonTindle,and Elijah Tindle all of Benton IL. Addisyn Chinn and Ryley Chinn of West Frankfort, Taylor Chinn, Brooklyn Chinn and Liam Chinn of Sesser IL.7 Siblings, Brothers: David Chinn and Wife Edna of Aptos Ca.,Steven Chinn and wife Barbara of Mohave Valley, Az.,Max Dahm and wife Becky of Oklahoma City Ok.,Sisters: Barbara Austin and husband J.C.of Cathedral City Ca., Carma Thorpe and husband Bob of Needles Ca.,Debbie Bogart and husband Kenny of Lake Stevens Wa., and Valarie Hill of Everett Wa.He is also survived by many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Geneva(Poston) and Runyon Sinks,His father David Chinn,special uncle Don Brand and aunt Justine Bryant.
