Paul Wendell Drew

PAUL WENDELL DREW, 81, of Benton, Went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday April 15, 2023.

He was born in Franklin County, Illinois on October 10, 1941, the son of Harmon and Bertha (Dungy) Drew.

He married Glenda Rhine on November 19, 1960.

Mr. Drew was a farmer and loved farming.  He loved John Deere tractors, and bulldozing trees down.  He was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.  He loved his Sunday School class.  He was a soul winner and had a very giving heart.  He loved taking care of people. He loved his family, especially his great grandchildren.

Mr. Drew is survived by his:

Wife: Glenda Drew of Benton

Daughter: Angie Capps and husband Gale of Belle Rive

Son: Darren Drew and wife Bobbi of Benton

4 Grandchildren: Paige Drew of Benton

                               Jesse Drew and wife Shayna of Benton

                               Josh Capps and wife Erica of Opdyke

                               Cory Capps of Mt. Vernon

Great-Grandchildren: MaKenna Drew, Daisy Drew, Ella Drew, Rheagan Drew, Beau Drew, Lincoln Drew, Londyn Drew, Jovie Capps and Jourdan Garbo

And Several Nieces and Nephews

Mr. Drew was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Brother and 1 Sister.

Funeral services will be held at 7 P.M. Thursday, April 20th at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Benton with Rev. Eddie Paul Davis and Dr. Kirk Kay officiating.  Visitation will be after 4 P.M. on Thursday at the Church.  Private Family burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church.
