Michael Allen Ferando

Michael Allen Ferando, 64, of Thompsonville passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 20, 2022 at the St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
Michael was born in Elgin, IL on August 15, 1957, the son of Louis and Betty (Johnson) Ferando.
Mike worked most of his life as a Semi Truck driver until his failing health.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, infant Sister-Millie Jean, Brother-Pete, Sister-Audra and 2 Nephews Jeffery Carson  & Brandon Stayton.
Mike is survived by his siblings, Louie Ferando of Ewing, IL and David Ferando and wife Becky of West Frankfort, IL; Brother-in-law-Mike Labar of Pennsylvania and several nieces & nephews.
His closest friends knew him by his nicknames Hunkey or Nando. Mike loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles. His biggest asset was the love for his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 26th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Rev. Mark Minor officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
