Martha Ann (Lenzini) Hobbs of Benton, formerly of Centralia, Illinois passed away Friday July 9, 2021 at Helia Healthcare of Benton. She was 89 years of age.
“Marty” was born on September 15, 1931, the daughter of Alphy and Lorene (Mosley) Lenzini. She was a graduate of Centralia Township High School in 1949. On January 20, 1951, she married Robert Edward Hobbs of Centralia and they were married for 48 years.
Marty is survived by her daughter, Dana Denise (Hobbs) Betine (Ronnie) of Logan and by her son, Robert Edward Hobbs II of Columbus, Indiana.
She was blessed to have had four grandchildren, Andrea (Kaak) McMahon of Benton, Geoffrey Josef Kaak of Destin, Florida, Elizabeth (Hobbs) Tapp and Laura (Hobbs) McKinney both of Bloomington, Indiana as well as four great-grandchildren, Ian McMahon of Benton, Brooklyn McMahon of Dallas, Texas, Emma Tapp and Nadia McKinney both of Bloomington, Indiana, as well as leaving nieces and nephews.
Preceding Marty in death were her parents, her husband Bob, and her sister Mary Sue (Lenzini) Bates.
Funeral services will be entrusted to Morton & Johnston Funeral Home with a family visitation beginning at 9:00, followed by a public visitation at 10:00 with graveside services being held at 11 A.M. at Masonic and Oddfellows Cemetery, Friday July 16th with Rev. Mark Minor officiating.
