Marilyn Sue (Brasel) Baine

Marilyn Sue (nee Brasel) Baine 85 of Thompsonville, IL born on January 17, 1939 in Marissa, IL passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Baine retired in 1998 from Secretarial and Bookkeeping work for 38 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Benton, IL. She was a member of the Blended Bunch Sunday School Class.

Sue enjoyed church, traveling, dancing and crocheting. She crocheted many lap afghans for the area nursing homes.

She was preceded in death by her Parents Paul R. and Bessie Weshinskey Brasel, a sister Paula Reuss, a nephew Ryan Reuss and a great-grandson Ryan Russell. She is survived by a brother Ron (Jerry) Brasel of Kirkwood, MO. She is also survived by her husband John Baine of Thompsonville, 8 Step-children, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and 2 special friends in her life Melissa Freed & Greg Oettle.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 3rd at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Benton. Burial will be in the Mt. Etna Cemetery in Akin. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the church.
