Louise Norcross Parker Roy Allen Parker Obituary

On December 26. 2022 Louise Norcross Parker, age 72, of Benton IL was reunited in eternal life with her husband, Roy Allen Parker who passed away on May 14, 2020.
Roy and Louise were high school sweethearts; he was football co captain of the Benton Ranger football team and Louise was crowned Homecoming Queen their senior year. Roy and Louise were married on September 12, 1970. Roy served in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant for 4 years. After returning to Benton, he worked as a coal miner and was a member of the UMWA. Louise worked at Franklin Hospital for a time as a nurses assisitant. After retirement they enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren as well as vacationing in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Surviving is one son, Allen Parker and his 3 children Maya, Lucas and Preston, Roy's sister Shalyn Settlemoir and Louise's sister Donna O'Brien along with many nieces and nephews.
They were preceded in death by Roy's parents, Roy and Yulanda (Rector) Parker, Louise's parents Walter and Emily (Garbo) Norcross, Roy's brother Dennis Parker, Louise's brother Jim Norcross, and their two daughters, Emily Parker Webb and Ann Parker Summers.
Roy and Louise will be buried next to their daughters at Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton, IL.
