Keith Wilkerson

Keith Wilkerson, 66, of Benton passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

He was born in Benton, IL on October 29, 1952, the son of Walter Lee & Elsie (Colebrook) Wilkerson.

He married Janet Lynn Wilkerson, and she preceded him in death on October 19, 2009.

Mr. Wilkerson had worked for Old Ben Coal & retired from CSI.

Mr. Wilkerson is survived by his:
                Brother: Ted Wilkerson & wife Lynn of Alabama

                Step-Son: Joshua Takacs & wife Nikki of Indiana

                Step-Daughter: Crystal Summers & husband Larry of Benton

                2 Nieces:

                                Cindy McCaleb & husband Kevin of Alabama      

                                Christy Reed & husband Scott of Alabama

                Several Great-Nephews & a Great-Niece

Mr. Wilkerson was preceded in death by his Parents and by his Wife.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 11th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Rev. Jim Jenkel officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic & Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. on Monday at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home.
