Irene (Lefler) Johnson

Irene Johnson, 97, of Benton passed away Friday afternoon, June 24, 2022 at Manor Court of Carbondale.

She was born in Benton, IL on March 15, 1925 the daughter of Roy & Mary (Runnels) Lefler.

She was married to Wendal L. Johnson and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2011.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Daughter-Sheila Jobe, Brother-Clyde Lefler and Sisters- Juanita Phillips & Delphia Kent.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27th at 10:00 A.M. at the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton with Dr. W. Mark Johnson officiating. Visitation will be after 9:00 A.M. on Monday at the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery.
