Herbert L. Lampley

Herbert L. Lampley, 81, of Benton passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family on Friday morning, April 19, 2024 at OSF Hospital in Peoria, IL.
Mr. Lampley was born in Chicago Heights, IL on November 14, 1942 the son of Herbert W. & Ruth (Conner) Lampley.
He married Barbara J. (Kanoza) on December 22, 1961 in Newhall, CA and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2013.
Herb proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.

Son: Matthew C. Lampley & wife Rose of Decatur
3 Grandsons:
Matthew T. "Tyler" Lampley & wife Meagan 
Severiano Lampley of Decatur
Salvador Lampley of Decatur
Mr. Lampley was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Son-Brian Wesley Lampley and Sister-Wanda M.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 26th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Rev. Ron Cremeens officiating. Burial will be n the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton. Military Rites will be conducted by the Benton American Legion Post #280 & VFW Post #2671. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
