Glenn E. Dawson

GLENN E. DAWSON, 83, of Thompsonville passed away Saturday morning, June 12, 2021.

He was born in Benton, IL on August 5, 1937, the son of Everett Glenn & Dimple (Mandrel) Dawson.

Mr. Dawson was a Coal Miner for 19 years before retiring.  He then started the Benton Pawn Shop in 1982.

Mr. Dawson was formerly married to Mona (Darr), the mother of his sons and she survives in Benton.

He is also survived by his:

Grandchildren:

Joshua Dawson & wife Laura of Benton

Terra Clements & husband Ben of Benton

Benjamin Dawson & wife Mandy of Hallsville, MO

Jeremy Dawson & wife Amanda of Benton

GreatGrandchildren: Nate, Jeremy, Andrea, Christopher, Jade, Aaron, Hannah, Daegan, Hailey, Alyssa and Kaleb.

Also several Nieces and Nephews.

Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his Parents, and Brothers and Sisters.

As per Mr. Dawson’s request he has been cremated and no services will be held.
