Obituary

GEORGE R. HERRON, 68, of Thompsonville passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

He was born in Kankakee, IL on November 2, 1954, the son of William & Betty (Murry) Herron.

He enjoyed working with his livestock on the farm, eating breakfast at the Cozy Table and then going to Rural King. Also riding around the farm on his Kubota and watching his son bale hay. He was a retired Butcher.

Mr. Herron is survived by his:

3 Children: Moe Herron & wife Nichole of Thompsonville

Tonya Herron of Thompsonville

Kelly Dawson & husband Damian of Benton

6 Grandchildren: Hannah, Hailey, Maci, Makenzie, Andrew & Jamesdon

2 Great-Grandchildren: Reagan & Elena

6 Siblings: Kay Bernard, Tom Herron, Tina Thompson, Elizabeth Herron, Laura Spurlock & Kevin Herron

Mr. Herron was preceded in death by his Parents and by a Brother-Johnny.

He loved his dogs.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 31st.
