Farron R Whittington

Farron Whittington, 61, of Whittington passed away on Wednesday evening, June 9, 2021 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He was born in Benton, IL  on December 10, 1959, the son of Basil & Vera (Birkhead) Whittington.
Mr. Whittington was a Mason. He was a member of the Macedonia Masonic Lodge.
Farron is survived by his:
Mother: Vera (Birkhead) Whittington of Macedonia
Brother: Ferlin Whittington & wife Carla of Whittington
Sister: Twyla Hopkins & husband Don of Whittington
1 Niece: Tabitha Hopkins of Whittington
2 Nephews:
Christian Whittington of Odin
Zacary Phillips of Fancy Farms, KY
5 Great-Nieces & Nephews
Mr. Whittington was preceded in death by his Father and by a Niece-Autumn Woolsey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M on Saturday, June 12th at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton with Rev. Gary Davenport officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery in Whittington. Visitation will be after 12:00 P.M. Noon on Saturday at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be conducted immediately before the funeral.
