William (Bill) Tennison

William (Bill) Tennison, 96, of Benton passed away Wednesday evening August 28, 2019 in Benton.
Mr. Tennison was born in Rend City, IL on November 21, 1922, the son of Grover Cleveland & Jennie Blanche (Hutson) Tennison.
He married Shirley (Seibert) Sneed on June 1, 1957.
Mr. Tennison was a Veteran serving in the US Army from March 30, 1944 to May 11, 1946. He was a retired Coal Miner, working at Old Ben 21. Mr. Tennison was a member of North Benton Baptist Church.

Mr. Tennison was preceded in death by his Parents, 1st Wife-Winnifred Marie, by 2 Sons-William Tim Tennison & John Tyler Tennison, 1 Brother-Clarence, 3 Sisters-Gladys M., Lorene E. & Jennie Leah, and by 1 Sister-in-law-Doris Choisser.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 31st at the North Benton Baptist Church with Rev. Gary West & Rev. Larry Gwaltney officiating. Burial with Military Honors conducted by the Benton American Legion & VFW Posts & the National Guard Honor Squad will be in the Masonic & Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. Visitation will be after 12:00 P.M. Noon on Saturday at the North Benton Baptist Church.
